Julia Holter / Julia Shammas Holter (born 18 December 1984) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, composer and artist, based in Los Angeles. She recently collaborated with the French Electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre on the song “These Creatures” on his latest album “Electronica 2: The Heart of Noise”. In addition to collaborating with other California-based musicians like Nite Jewel (Ramona Gonzalez), Holter released her third album, Loud City Song, in August 2013 on Domino Records. Unlike her first two albums, which were recorded mostly alone in her bedroom, Holter recorded Loud City Song with an ensemble of musicians.
