Biography

Michael Rohatyn has composed scores for Personal Velocity, The Ballad of Jack and Rose, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and Maggie’s Plan, all for Rebecca Miller. He composed the score and songs for Laurie Simmons’s semi-puppet blockbuster The Music of Regret, starring Meryl Streep and Adam Guettel. He co-wrote the screenplay for Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winner Forty Shades of Blue (2005), starring Rip Torn (contributing the title track, as well). Current projects include a film adaption of cycling classic The Rider by Tim Krabb?; a three part TV biopic on the other true story of Sharon Tate; and Fear City, a feature-length doc celebrating the year 1975 in New York City. Michael lives and works in NYC.
