Tom Wolfe

Tom Wolfe
Biography

Tom Wolfe is a British award-winning film composer. Having made a name for himself as front man and programmer in electro-rock act The Polysonic, Wolfe’s love of composing for the medium of moving image began after director Spencer Hawken saw him playing in a London pub. After the show, Hawken approached Wolfe and asked him to score his directorial debut – horror comedy Death Walks. From the driving 80s-nostalgic synth score for Death Walks to the hauntingly ambient world of sound he creates in dark drama No Reasons, Wolfe’s creations go beyond the dialogue to truly capture the heart of the film. Using a hybrid of synthesisers, orchestra, obscure instruments and sound design, Tom’s compositions create a unique and powerful narrative that truly make his scores, and the films they exist in, stand out from the crowd.
