Biography

Andrew Prahlow is an American film and video game music composer who wrote score music to Outer Wilds (2019), Holden On (2017), American Mirror: Intimations of Immortality (2018), The Reign (2020), Piloto (2016).

Andrew Prahlow’s music focuses on larger-than-life, emotive soundscapes with a core of chamber-ensemble minimalism, hoping to create a sense of familiar nostalgia for the listener. Andrew’s campfire post-rock soundtrack for the 2019 sci-fi video game ‘Outer Wilds’ received numerous accolades, including a BAFTA nomination, a SXSW nomination, and a Golden Joystick Nomination for soundtrack of the year, as well as winning Giant Bomb’s Best Game Music and OnlySinglePlayer’s Best Game Music of 2019. The score is currently nominated for two Game Audio Network Guild Awards (Best Music – Indie Game and Best Interactive Score).
