Biography

Jeffery Alan Jones is an American film composer who has composed music to Crown Vic (2019), The Old Man and the Pond (2019), Last Seen in Idaho (2018), The Sphere and the Labyrinth (2015), Bayou Caviar (2018), The Terror of Hallow’s Eve (2017), Most Beautiful Island (2017).

Jeffery Alan Jones is both an experienced and prominent composer and songwriter. He has written music for solo instruments, small groups, large groups, jazz ensembles, big bands, popular bands, chamber ensembles, and symphonic orchestras. Mr. Jones has a broad background in musical style and has composed music in many styles. He has written a variety of music including classical, jazz, contemporary, big band, blues, pop, world, showtunes, new age, rock, folk, rhythm and blues, hip hop, and country. He brings a wealth of creativity and passion to each and every composition. Mr. Jones has over 100 films to his credit covering in a many of styles. His music can be heard from the concert stage to the silver screen throughout the world. A recent winner of the Los Angeles Composer Competition, Mr. Jones was commissioned to conduct his orchestral composition “Cinema Fantastic” with the National Chinese Symphony Orchestra in Beijing, China. Mr. Jones also was a winner of the John Lennon Songwriting award with his song, “My Dream.” Most recently, he has worked with Diana Ross in composing and arranging music for her 2010 concert tour.
