Jon Wygens is a film composer and musician, who is known for score music to The Durrells (2017-2019), Great British Railway Journeys (2010-2019), Great American Railroad Journeys (2016-2018), The Murder Trial (2013), Animal político (2016), The Real Social Network (2012).
Award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist, Jon Wygens has composed scores for some of the most successful television productions of recent years. Drama credits include three series of ITV’s hugely popular family drama The Durrells, co-composed with Ruth Barrett; additional music for ITV’s Emmy nominated historical drama Victoria and additional music for the Ivor Novello award nominated stylish noir thriller The Collection for Amazon Studios.
Feature films include the political thriller Flying Blind staring Helen McCory, the gothic Romanian vampire movie Miss Christina, for which he won a GOPO Award for best score, and the Brazilian film Animal Politico, perhaps unique in being an existential comedy starring an actual cow.
Short films include The Procession, starring Lily Tomlin and Lucy Punch and Infidel, winner of best UK short at London’s Raindance festival.
