Nino Rota (Giovanni “Nino” Rota) was an Italian composer, pianist and conductor. Nino is best known for his music for The Godfather (1972), The Godfather Part II (1974), Hurricane (1979), Romeo and Juliet (1968), 8 1/2 (1963), Death on the Nile (1978), Il Casanova di Federico Fellini (1976), Amarcord (1973), Il gattopardo (1963).
