Inappropriate Behavior (also known as Ezra) is a 2023 American comedy-drama film written by Tony Spiridakis, directed by Tony Goldwyn. The production is a collaboration between Closer Media and Wayfarer Studios. The film stars Bobby Cannavale as Max Brandel, a once-successful late-night comedy writer who becomes a not-so-successful stand-up comic. Robert De Niro portrays Stan, Max’s father, while Rose Byrne plays Jenna, Max’s ex-wife. The cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Rainn Wilson, Whoopi Goldberg, and William Fitzgerald.
The plot revolves around Max, who moves in with his father after blowing up his career and marriage. When Max and Jenna find themselves at odds regarding their 11-year-old autistic son Ezra’s needs, Max decides to kidnap Ezra and embark on a cross-country trip, resulting in comically disastrous situations.
Inappropriate Behavior is set to release on 20th October 2023.
