The Velvet Underground is a 2021 American documentary film, the story of the rock band The Velvet Underground formed in New York City in 1964. The film is created by Todd Haynes, distributed by Apple TV+, stars Lou Reed, John Cale, Sterling Morrison, Moe Tucker, Doug Yule, Mary Woronov, Jonathan Richman, Amy Taubin, and Merrill Weiner.
The Velvet Underground was premiered on 7th July 2021 at the Cannes Film Festival, it’s set to a worldwide release on 15th October 2021.
