Firebrand is a 2023 British historical drama film based on the 2013 novel Queen’s Gambit by an English novelist, Elizabeth Fremantle. The film is written by Henrietta Ashworth and Jessica Ashworth, directed by Karim Ainouz, produced and distributed by Roadside Attractions, FilmNation Entertainment, and Vertical. The film stars Alicia Vikander, Jude Law, Simon Russell Beale, Eddie Marsan, Ruby Bentall, Sam Riley, Bryony Hannah, Maia Jemmett, Amr Waked, Junia Rees, Erin Doherty, Patrick Buckley, and Patsy Ferran.
Firebrand premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on 21st May 2023 and is scheduled to release in the US on 14th June 2024.
