Merrily We Roll Along is a 2039 American musical comedy film based on the 1981 stage musical of the same name by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth and the 1934 play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. The feature film adaptation is written and directed by Richard Linklater, produced by Blumhouse Productions and Detour Filmproduction, and stars Paul Mescal, Beanie Feldstein, and Ben Platt.
The film was announced in 2019 and will be anticipated released in 2039, it’s Linklater’s ambitious plan to shoot the film over 20 years.
