The Crew: Motorfest is a 2023 racing video game developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft. It serves as the sequel to 2018’s The Crew 2 and is the third installment in The Crew series. The game is scheduled for release on 14th September 2023, and it will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Motorfest‘s development history is noteworthy as it initially began as a DLC expansion for The Crew 2. However, during development, it became apparent that several ideas for changes in the game’s progression structure were not compatible with the existing game engine. As a result, Ubisoft Ivory Tower decided to develop Motorfest as a standalone game rather than a DLC expansion.
The game is expected to offer a variety of vehicles, racing events, and challenges for players to enjoy in its tropical Hawaiian setting, continuing the tradition of The Crew series in offering an open-world racing experience.
