The Space Movie is a 1980 documentary film written and directed by Tony Palmer. The film is developed at the request of NASA, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing.
In 1978, director Tony Palmer was asked by NASA to make a film commemorating the 10th anniversary of the first landing on the moon. At the request of Richard Branson, Mike Oldfield was brought in to write the music for the project. This special limited edition box set features a previously unreleased double CD demo version of The Space Movie soundtrack, a DVD of the film, an A4 booklet produced by Tony Palmer, a signed certificate by Tony Palmer, repro poster and repro lobby cards.
