Wolf is a 2023 British thriller television miniseries that aired on BBC One, BBC Wales, and BBC iPlayer from 31st July to 15th August 2023. The series falls under the crime thriller genre and is based on The Jack Caffery novels by Mo Hayder. The series was directed by Kristoffer Nyholm and Lee Haven Jones, with the former directing the first three episodes and the latter directing the final three. The screenplay for the series was written by Megan Gallagher, produced by Hartswood Films and APC Studios, with executive producers including Elaine Cameron for Hartswood Films, Laurent Boissel for APC Studios, and Ben Irving for the BBC. The main cast includes Ukweli Roach, Iwan Rheon, Sacha Dhawan, Sian Reese-Williams, Juliet Stevenson, Owen Teale, and Annes Elwy.
The plot revolves around DI Jack Caffery, who becomes fixated on his neighbor, whom he suspects of having murdered his younger brother in the 1990s. In parallel, the series follows a wealthy and isolated family in Monmouthshire, who become targets of cruel and terrifying games.
Filming took place in Monmouthshire, Cardiff, Neath Abbey, Penarth, Pontyclun, and Ewenny Priory in Bridgend. The production received funding from Creative Wales and BBC Wales.
