Halloweentown is a 1998 American fantasy family comedy film, the first installment in the Halloweentown film series (sequels – Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge (2001), Halloweentown High (2004), Return to Halloweentown (2006). The film is written by Paul Bernbaum, Jon Cooksey, and Ali Matheson, directed by Duwayne Dunham, produced by Singer-White Entertainment, and distributed by Disney Channel on 17th October 1998. Starring – Kimberly J. Brown, Debbie Reynolds, Judith Hoag, Joey Zimmerman, Emily Roeske, Phillip Van Dyke, Robin Thomas, Judith M. Ford, and Kenneth Choi.
The movie follows Marnie Piper, played by Kimberly J. Brown, who discovers her magical abilities on her 13th Halloween. She and her siblings, Dylan and Sophie, learn that their grandmother, Aggie Cromwell, is a powerful witch.
