Castlevania: Nocturne is a 2023 American adult animated dark fantasy action streaming television series. Created and written by Clive Bradley, it serves as a spin-off to the Castlevania animated series and is based on the popular video game series by Konami, specifically adapting elements from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The show is set in 1792 during the tumultuous period of the French Revolution and revolves around Richter Belmont, a descendant of the renowned vampire-hunting Belmont clan.
The series is produced by Kevin Kolde, Clive Bradley, and Fred Seibert, with animation provided by Powerhouse Animation Studios. Sam and Adam Deats will be directing the series. Netflix released the official trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne on 27th July 2023, generating anticipation among fans of the Castlevania franchise and dark fantasy enthusiasts alike.
